Abstract

The journey of an Olympic champion is marked by challenges, sacrifices, and a high level of commitment. Both physical and mental discipline play a fundamental role in shaping these athletes, directly influencing their performance and well-being. This article examines the relationship between discipline and well-being in the lives of Olympic athletes, considering aspects such as training routines, nutrition, recovery, mental health, and social life. To this end, scientific studies and athletes' testimonies were reviewed, highlighting the importance of balancing rigor with quality of life to achieve sporting success. Additionally, the article discusses the effects of excessive training, the role of social and psychological support, and how the pursuit of balance can be a competitive advantage.
