This article analyzes the role of social workers at the Specialized Reference Center
for Social Assistance (CREAS) in São Luís de Montes Belos/GO in addressing child sexual
violence. Using a qualitative approach, the strategies and challenges faced by these
professionals in ensuring rights and comprehensive protection for children and adolescents
who are victims of such violence were examined. Data were collected through bibliographic review and documentary analysis of public policies and regulations governing CREAS actions.
The results highlight the importance of interdisciplinarity, continuous training, and network
articulation for the effectiveness of interventions. It is concluded that, despite advances in
protection policies, structural and institutional challenges still impact the work of social workers
and the effectiveness of response actions.
