Abstract

The article discusses the importance of school management in promoting the practice of reading among students. Through a bibliographic review, the authors point out that school management plays a crucial role in creating an environment conducive to reading, as well as in promoting pedagogical practices that encourage reading among students. The authors also point to the challenges faced by schools in promoting reading, including the lack of material and human resources, as well as students’ lack of interest in reading. Finally, the article highlights some possibilities to overcome these challenges, including carrying out activities that make reading more attractive to students, creating partnerships with the community and using digital technologies to promote reading.
