The brazilian prison system and the resocialization of jail as a function of the criminal execution law

This article is a bibliographical research on the Brazilian Prison System and the rehabilitation of prisoners, highlighting the law of penal execution as a relevant norm to ensure the rights of prisoners. The general objective of this article is to understand the purpose of the Law of Penal Enforcement in relation to the fulfillment of the sentence in the Brazilian Prison System and the specific objectives are: to understand the definition of rehabilitation for Brazilian law; to highlight the main functions of the Brazilian prison system and to present the Brazilian norms on the human rights of prisoners. The law of penal execution is the norm that determines the fulfillment of the prisoner's sentence considering the dignity of the human person and ensuring the effectiveness of the criminal sentence.
